Man critically injured in accident on H-3 Freeway in Halawa
A Kaneohe man is in critical condition after he was thrown from his motorcycle when it collided with a stalled pickup truck Monday night on the H-3 Freeway.
Police said the accident occurred at 10:30 p.m., 2.8 miles east of the Moanalua Freeway overpass.
A pickup truck had stalled in the fast lane of the H-3 Freeway. The operator of the motorcycle, a man in his 50s, hit the parked truck on the Halawa side of the highway, police said.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet. The pickup truck driver was not injured.
It is unknown whether speed or alcohol are factors.
