Man critically injured in garage fire at Maili house

A man in his 40s was injured in a garage fire on Kaukama Road in Waianae this afternoon.
A man in his 40s was in critical condition after a fire in a garage at a residence on Kaukama Road in Waianae this afternoon, said Fire Department spokesman Capt. Terry Seelig.
The fire destroyed the garage and did minor damage to the exterior of the house, Seelig said.
Seelig said firefighters took about 24 minutes to control the fire after receiving the alarm at 3:05 p.m.
He said fire officials are investigating the cause of the blaze, which started in the garage.
