All Hawaii GameStop stores to stay open
None of Hawaii’s 21 GameStop stores are slated for closure as part of a plan to close unprofitable stores, according to Corporate Communications Manager Wendy Dominguez.
The publicly traded company announced the plan last week in a conference call, and Friday, a spokeswoman said there would be no announcement about which stores would close prior to those stores’ closures.
Dominguez responded to Friday’s Star-Advertiser query this morning.
The company operates 15 stores on Oahu, one on Kauai, two on Maui and three on Hawaii island and employs 327 people at its isle stores.
