Arkansas defeats UH women’s basketball team

The Hawaii women’s basketball team couldn’t handle Arkansas’ post game and gave up a season high in points in an 83-68 defeat on Saturday at the Stan Sheriff Center.

On Day 2 of the Waikiki Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Showdown, UH (2-4) was led by junior forward Kamilah Martin, who scored 20 points with nine rebounds. Redshirt freshman Ashleigh Karaitiana added 16 points and six rebounds.

At the other end, Razorbacks senior center Sarah Watkins came off the bench to tie her career high of 25 points on 11-for-16 shooting. Arkansas improved to 4-1.

UH concludes the tournament against No. 13 Oklahoma at 2:30 on Sunday.
