    Army Col. John P. Johnson has been nominated for a star as a brigadier general, the Pentagon announced today.

The 25th Infantry Division deputy commander in charge of operations has been nominated for a star as a brigadier general, the Pentagon announced today.

Army Col. John P. Johnson has served in combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan before being assigned to Schofield Barracks.

Johnson was commissioned a second lieutenant from the United States Military Academy in 1985.
