Honolulu police arrest two men in separate road rage incidents
Police arrested two people in separate road rage incidents in Waianae and in downtown Honolulu.
Police said a traffic incident turned violent at about 11:05 a.m. Thursday in downtown Honolulu when a 60-year-old man confronted a 58-year-old man about a traffic incident. Police said the suspect, the 58-year-old man reached into the 60-year-old man’s car and attempted to assault the victim, who was sitting in the driver’s seat of his car.
Officers located and arrested the suspect at 12:50 p.m. on suspicion of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
On Wednesday, police said a 39-year-old Ewa Beach man threw a rock through the window of a 32-year-old man’s truck during a road rage incident at 1 p.m. in Waianae. When the 32-year-old victim got out of his truck, the suspect got in it and drove away, police said.
The suspect also allegedly took items from the victim’s truck bed.
Officers arrested the suspect at 2:15 p.m. on Farrington Highway in Nanakuli on suspicion of criminal property damage, theft and auto theft.
