Colts’ Luck eager to make 1st Pro Bowl appearance
Andrew Luck doesn’t care how he got to Hawaii. He’s just glad he made it.
The record-setting rookie quarterback says he’s enjoying workouts as he prepares to play in his first Pro Bowl game Sunday.
The No. 1 overall draft pick wasn’t one of the three quarterbacks originally chosen for the AFC’s all-star team. But New England’s Tom Brady pulled out because of an injury, one day after the Patriots lost to Baltimore in the AFC Championship game, Luck was added to the roster.
For rookie quarterbacks, earning Pro Bowl selections is a lofty achievement.
But for Luck, is special for another reason. He’ll be a teammate of Peyton Manning, his predecessor in Indy and an old friend. Manning’s father, Archie, and Luck’s father, Oliver, were teammates in Houston.
