Hawaii apparently is no paradise for Scott Caan, who plays Danny "Danno" Williams on the CBS series "Hawaii Five-0."

In an appearance on E!’s "Chelsea Lately" talk show Thursday night, the actor told host Chelsea Handler that he hasn’t been able to adjust to the slower pace of island living — a sentiment he shares with his "Five-0" character, an ex-New Jersey cop.

"Everything is very slow motion. Everything is too relaxed for me. I like to hustle, and there’s no hustle there," Caan said.

He also talked about surfing, which he said was more about "survival" here, and said the food in Hawaii "sucks."
