>> The last word in a story about hotel occupancy that began on page B5 Monday was cut off. The full sentence was: He (Jerry Gibson, area vice president for Hilton Hawaii) favors rolling the TAT (transient accommodation tax) back to 7.25 percent or, if it stays at the current 9.25 percent, increasing the percentage of the fund that the visitor industry gets for marketing.

>> Tom Hutton, who has been selected as executive director of the Public Charter School Commission, earned a certificate in the public administration graduate program at the University of Hawaii, not a master’s degree as was reported on Page B2 Sunday.
