Rainbows finish 1-3 in UNLV Rebel Classic

UNLV scored five first-inning runs off Hawaii starter Jon Flinn and rolled to a 12-4 win over the Rainbows on Sunday in the final game of the UNLV Rebel Classic in Las Vegas.

Flinn (0-1) recorded only one out and gave up five hits and a walk.

Adam Hurley hit an RBI double and Jerry Kleman added an RBI single for the Rainbows (1-11), who scored twice in the eighth inning after trailing 12-0.

Conner George started for Kaeo Aliviado in right field and had three hits, driving in Kalei Hanawahine with an RBI triple in the ninth. Max Duval followed with an RBI single.

Patrick O’Rourke allowed seven runs on 11 hits in 4 2/3 innings and Bryan Burgher allowed two hits in three scoreless innings.

The Rainbows finish their road trip with another game at UNLV (9-3) on Monday at 4 p.m. Hawaii time.
