Waikiki man arrested for allegedly choking woman
A 54-year-old Waikiki man is in custody after allegedly choking a woman during an argument Monday.
Police said the suspect was arguing with a 31-year-old woman in an Ala Moana apartment at 8 p.m. Monday. The argument escalated and the suspect allegedly tried to choke her. The victim tried calling police before losing consciousness.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, and interfering with reporting an emergency.
