McCully man charged for allegedly threatening, dousing man with flammable liquid

A 24-year-old McCully man has been charged with second-degree terroristic threatening after he allegedly doused a 37-year-old man with a flammable fluid Saturday night and threatened to kill him.

Jamal Morris was scheduled to make his initial appearance in District Court this afternoon.

Police said the incident occurred near Moiliili Field at about 10:40 p.m. Saturday.

The victim told police that the suspect allegedly approached him for unknown reasons, doused him with the liquid and threatened to kill him.

Police said they found and arrested the suspect around 11 p.m. near King and Coolidge streets.

The victim did not require treatment by paramedics.
