Hawaii County police are asking the public’s help for information concerning Kevin Devlin

The search for a missing Hawaii County man entered its third day today.

But what also seems to be missing is the identity of the 62-year-old swimmer.

The Coast Guard identifies the man as John Spillane.

Hawaii County police list the missing man as Kevin Devlin, also known as Shawn Devlin, who hasn’t been seen since he went swimming near Waipio Valley. Police officials say that "Kevin Devlin" may not be the man’s actual name.

However, both the Coast Guard and police have released photos of the same man, who they said is from Honokaa.

Anyone with any information are requested to contact the Coast Guard Sector Honolulu Command Center at (808) 842-2600 or Hawaii County Police — officer Dion Santiago at (808) 775-7533 — or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at (808) 961-8300 in Hilo or (808) 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.

The man is described as Caucasian, 5 foot 10 inches, 160 pounds with short, thin white hair.

Firefighters said they found the campsite undisturbed with the man’s items neatly stacked near the shore.
