Fire rescue personnel used their jet skis Wednesday morning to recover the body of a man who was reported floating in the ocean a quarter of a mile off Waiahole Valley in Windward Oahu.
Capt. Terry Seelig, Honolulu Fire Department spokesman, said police received the call from fishermen around 7:10 a.m.
Seelig said fire rescue personnel brought the body to shore an hour later and turned it over to police and the medical examiner’s office.
