Board of Water Supply crews have restored water service to Kakaako businesses following water main break this morning.

Crews completed repairs to the 8-inch water main break at 9:00 a.m. and are working to fill the trench and clear the roadway along Keawe Street between Auahi Street and Ala Moana Boulevard, board officials said

The break was called in at 1:27 a.m. and left six businesses without water this morning.

A small white pickup truck that had been parked near the break had to be towed clear of the scene, but suffered no apparent damage.

Road repair is expected to continue into the afternoon.
