Injured hiker airlifted from Kauai trail
Kauai County rescue personnel airlifted about an injured hiker this afternoon from the Nualolo Trail.
About 12:26 p.m., the hiker, who injured her ankle, was found about 1.5 miles from the trailhead and airlifted on the Fire Department helicopter to Waimea Canyon Park.
From there, she was taken to Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital.
