Paramedics respond to apparent near-drowning of girl, 3, at Kahala Hotel

Paramedics responded to an apparent near-drowning of a 3-year-old girl at the Kahala Hotel & Resort this afternoon.

Emergency Medical Services reported that at 2 p.m. EMS personnel responded to an apparent near-drowning at the hotel. Cardipulmonary resuscitation was reportedly begun at the scene, and care of the patient was transferred to EMS personnel upon arrival.

The child was taken by ambulance in serious condition to an area hospital, according to the EMS report.
