Stronger trade winds and some surf are expected from Tropical Depression Henriette as it passes far south of the islands Sunday and Monday.

Henriette weakened to a depression this morning with sustained winds of 35 mph.

At 11 a.m., Henriette was 540 miles south of Honolulu, moving west at 22 mph..

The storm is not expected to bring much rain or clouds to the islands. But there may be a small swell on south shores Sunday and Sunday from waves generated by Henriette.

Moisture from what’s left of former storm Gil is expected to move away from the islands by this afternoon.

Forecasters say there’s a chance that tropical moisture from two more systems expected to pass south of the islands may bring an increased chance of showers late this week.
