Police release video of robbery suspect, arrest alleged car thief
Honolulu police released surveillance video of a suspect who robbed the Valley Center Market on Kalihi Street last week and announced Tuesday that they identified and arrested a MAN who was seen on surveillance video breaking into a car in April.
Police said a man brandished a knife and at about 12:45 p.m. on Aug. 8 and demanded money. He fled on a Razor scooter.
The video shows the man, in a hooded mask, threatening a woman with the knife and grabbing money from the cash register.
Anyone with information is asked to call detectives or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
Police also said on the Honolulupd.org website that detectives arrested a 30-year-old suspect, who was featured in another surveillance video.
The suspect in that video was seen breaking into a car in Waipahu in April. Police said after an investigation, they were able to identify and arrest the suspect on Friday.
