Interior’s Jewell to speak at Hawaiian convention
Interior Secretary Sally Jewell will speak at this year’s Native Hawaiian convention in Honolulu.
The department says Jewell will underscore the importance of Native Hawaiian issues within the department. She will also discuss the department’s oversight role.
The 12th Annual Native Hawaiian Convention is being held at the Hawaii Convention Center. Topics include education, affordable housing, economic development and other issues.
The convention is the largest gathering of community members, organizations, policy makers and others interested in Native Hawaiian community development.
