2 women, 75 and 83, seriously injured in McCully crash

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene of a crash in front of Central Union Church on S. Beretania Street this morning.

Two women were seriously injured Saturday when their car sideswiped a series of parked cars near Central Union Church in McCully.

Police briefly closed South Beretania Street between Punahou and McCully streets after the 10:15 a.m. crash. The car, a white sedan, was traveling at a high speed when it crashed into a line of parked cars on the side of the road, according to witness Fred Goya.

All lanes of South Beretania Street were reopened at 11:07 a.m.

The women are 75 and 83, but it wasn’t clear which one was driving.
