Witness helps police catch theft suspect
A witness who saw a man take items out of a woman’s car helped police catch an alleged thief, Honolulu police said.
The incident happened at about 10:40 a.m. Monday in Kakaako.
Police said the witness chased the suspect, but the man broke free.
Arriving officers caught the suspect and arrested him on suspicion of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and an outstanding warrant.
