No tsunami warning from earthquake off Peru

No tsunami warning was issued after a magnitude 7.0 earthquake off southwestern Peru this morning.

The earthquake struck about  29 miles south of Acari, Peru at a depth of 28.5 miles at about 6:43 a.m. Hawaii time.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said based on available data, there is no tsunami threat to Hawaii.

The quake was mildly felt in Lima, 310 miles from its epicenter.

There were no intial reports of damage or injuries.
