Prosecutors Wednesday charged a 19-year-old man in the robbery of a man and his guests at his Kalihi apartment.

Dion Kitzmiller, who police said does not have a local address, was charged with one count of first-degree robbery. A 38-year-old man who was with him was released pending further investigation.

Police said the two entered the apartment and demanded money from the man, 49, and his guests, another man, 36, and woman, 39.

One of them was able to escape and call police.

Arriving officers caught one of the suspects in the apartment. The other tried to run away, but officers caught him a short distance away, police said.

Police said they recovered items taken in the robbery.
