Lihue man sentenced for copper, auto theft

A 30-year-old Lihue man was sentenced to nine months in jail for stealing 150 pounds of copper from an old Kekaha sugar mill in February, the Garden Island news paper reported.

Shawn Cremer was charged two counts of copper theft, second-degree burglary and car theft after 150 pounds of copper were found in the car he was driving after the theft was reported Feb. 17. He was sentenced in Kauai Circuit Court Thursday.
