The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Monday morning located and arrested Roderick Jenkins, 50, of Detroit at an apartment on Koauka Loop in Aiea.

Michigan’s Department of Corrections issued an arrest warrant for Jenkins on Feb., 13, 2008 for parole violation.

After tracking Jenkins to Hawaii, and the Aiea residence, U.S. Marshal and U.S. Customs and Border Protection Task Force officers entered the apartment residence at about 6:15 a.m. and apprehended Jenkins, who was found hiding in a bedroom closet.

Jenkins is a convicted sex offender who fled Michigan, which in turn violated his parole. Jenkins has previous convictions for armed robbery, breaking and entering with Intent, and criminal Sexual conduct-force.

Jenkins was transported to the Honolulu Police Department’s Central Receiving for booking pending a court appearance and extradition back to Michigan.
