Police say bystanders stopped kidnapping attempt in Mililani
Bystanders intervened and stopped a man who appeared to be kidnapping an 18-year-old woman in Mililani Saturday night, police said.
Police said the witnessess stepped in when they saw a 38-year-old man trying to abduct the woman at about 9:35 p.m.
The man, who does not have a local address, fled but was located by a patrol officer around 10:44 p.m. near Kipapa Drive and Kuahelani Avenue and arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, according to police records.
