Suspect arrested trying to sell allegedly stolen iPhone back to victim

Honolulu police arrested a 26-year-old woman who tried to sell an iPhone back to the woman she allegedly stole it from.

Police said the victim, a 21-year-old woman, told officers that she was working at a kiosk at the International Marketplace when the suspect stole her purse containing the iPhone at 11:05 a.m. Sunday.

The suspect contacted the victim and offered to sell the phone back, police said.

The 21-year-old woman met with the suspect and called police, who arrested the 26-year-old woman on suspicion of theft.
