Man arrested for allegedly choking girlfriend, escaping from police
Police arrested a 20-year-old Waipahu man Tuesday afternoon for allegedly choking his 20-year-old girlfriend during a domestic argument and then escaping after his arrest.
Police said the couple was arguing when the man allegedly began choking the woman at about 12:20 p.m. in Waipahu.
Police arrested the man, but he escaped from police. He was quickly caught and arrested on felony abuse and second-degree escape.
