Police investigated the scene of a fatal stabbing in Kailua overnight.

Honolulu homicide detectives are investigating the second murder case this week with the death of a homeless man found outside of a Kailua restaurant late last night with multiple stab wounds.

Emergency Medical Services said paramedics treated and transported a man in his 50s from Uluniu Street near Cinnamon’s Restaurant in extremely critical condition to the hospital around 11:45 p.m. He died at the hospital.

No suspects have been arrested.

However, police are looking for a white male, described as having a slim build and wearing "dark clothing."

The victim was believed to have been sleeping in an area near the Kailua restaurant.

The police department Specialized Services Division used its dogs to sweep the Kailua neighborhood early this morning to try to find a suspect.

In Oahu’s first murder investigation of the year, police are seeking two suspects in the stabbing death of Marlo Basuel, 42, Sunday night in a Waipahu home.

Paramedics took Basuel from a Kahuanani Street home at 9:48 p.m. Sunday to a hospital in "extremely critical condition." Basuel died at the hospital.

The Medical Examiner’s Office said the cause of his death was described as "(loss of blood) due to stab wounds of the torso."

Several people were attending a party at the Waipahu home when the incident occurred.
