Honolulu police arrested 137 people and issued more than 200 citations during an overnight sweep of high-crime areas in Honolulu.

The sweep, which began at 8 p.m. Friday and continued until 5 a.m. Saturday, covered areas of downtown Honolulu and Waikiki that generate the most complaints.

Most of the arrests were for outstanding warrants, driving under the influence of an intoxicant and drug-related offenses.

Some 208 citations were issued for jaywalking, minor traffic offenses and park rules violations.

The ages of those arrested ranged from 18 to 69.
