A 73-year-old Honolulu woman died Tuesday after she was hit by a tour bus in Waikiki.
Police said the woman was crossing Kalia Road near Hilton Hawaiian Village outside of a crosswalk when she was hit by the bus traveling in the Diamond Head direction about 9:35 a.m.
The woman sustained massive head injuries and was taken in critical condition to the Queen’s Medical Center, where she died, police said.
This was the 12 traffic fatality on Oahu, compared to 15 at this time last year.
