A 64-year-old woman fell from an overpass onto the H-1 freeway Wednesday and died at a hospital, police said. Paramedics responded to the incident and found the body of the woman on the freeway about 9:30 a.m., according to an Emergency Medical Services Division report. Police closed all Koko Head-bound lanes of the freeway from the Punahou Street overpass to the Bingham Street exit for about 2 1?2 hours to investigate. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday. Police do not suspect foul play. Melanie Nakatani, left, took a video of the closed freeway from the Punahou overpass as Holly Fong looked on.

The Medical Examiner’s office identified the 64-year-old woman who died last month after falling from the Bingham Street overpass as Madeline Harcourt.

The victim died at the hospital from blunt force injuries after the fall on Feb. 12 on to the H-1 Freeway.

The case is still classified as an unattended death pending the results of further tests.
