Police are looking for an armed man who wore a ski mask while trying to rob a 54-year-old employee Wednesday at a Kaneohe store.

Police said a man approached the customer service counter at 2:08 p.m. at a store at Kaneohe Bay Drive and Kamehameha Highway. He then allegedly slammed a knife on the counter and displayed a handgun in his waistband. He allegedly demanded money and threatened to harm one of the cashiers, police said

The woman fled to the rear if the store, and the man fled.

The case is classified as a first-degree attempted robbery.
