Ukranian military helicopter shot down by rebels
KIEV, Ukraine >> Ukraine’s acting president says 14 soldiers, including a general, have been killed when their helicopter was shot down by rebels in eastern Ukraine.
Acting President Oleksandr Turchynov said rebels used a portable air defense missile Thursday to down the helicopter over the city of Slovyansk in eastern Ukraine.
He told parliament that Gen. Volodymyr Kulchitsky was among those who died.
