Kapolei father arrested for allegedly striking son in argument

Police on Tuesday arrested a 61-year-old Kapolei man who allegedly struck his 25-year-old son during an argument Monday.

Police said the father and son were arguing 1 p.m. Monday when the father allegedly hit the son.

The son received substantial bodily injury, and was treated at a nearby hospital, then released.

The son reported the assault to the police Tuesday.

Police arrested the father 4:35 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of second-degree assault.
