A motorcycle accident on Jarrett White Road near the Tripler Medical Center offramp left a man in his 20s with critical head injuries Saturday morning, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.

The man, who has a California address, was traveling westbound when he lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected from his seat.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.

Police are investigating if alcohol was a factor.

Police closed Jarrett White Road between the Tripler offramp and Mahiole Street in both directions following the accident at about 2:30 a.m. as Traffic Division officers investigated the crash.

The road reopened by 5 a.m.
