Hydrant repairs cause water outage for some Kauai residents
The Department of Water has shut off water service for some residents in Kauai for necessary repairs to a fire hydrant that was damaged in an collision the Sunday night.
Residents of Papalina Road between Puu Road and Maka Road in Kalaheo are without water service.
Kauai Police shut down Papalina Road between Puu Road and Waha Road for the repairs.
Kauai officials estimate that water should be restored no later than 1 p.m. Monday.
