Staffing shortage cancels visits to women’s prison

Visitation at the Women’s Community Correctional Center was canceled Sunday due to staffing shortages. 

The Department of Public Safety has started posting visitation cancellation notices through social media to inform people who are planning to come to the facility to visit a loved one. Posts are made between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on the scheduled visitation day.
