Waikele brush fire flares up again
More than 20 firefighters returned to Waikele early Monday morning after a wildlife, which began Friday, flared up again.
The fire was reported back under control at 5:07 a.m. Monday. Seven fire companies were called to Waikele at 4:13 a.m. Monday when the blaze reignited.
Firefighters also returned to same area at about 1 p.m. Sunday to contain hot spots near the Waikele bunker.
The fire, near Pakela Street, has scorched more than two acres. It was orignally reported at 10:43 a.m. Friday.
Meanwhile, a brush fire near Makakilo, which has been burning since Aug. 22, was 95 percent contained by Sunday.
Two fire companies remained on scene to monitor and battle that fire, which was started by two 7-year-old boys playing with a lighter.

Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Kevin Mokulehua said firefighters returned the site at about 9 a.m. Sunday to battle three main hot spots.
