The Hawaii soccer team struck first but not last as the Rainbow Wahine lost their Big West Conference opener on Thursday night, 2-1 to Cal State Fullerton at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.

After UH forward Kama Pascua scored in the 13th minute, CSUF (3-7-2, 1-0 Big West) got two goals by Rebecca Wilson to swing the match.

The Wahine outshot the Titans 20-10 in defeat.

UH (5-6, 0-1) dropped to 2-5 at home this season. The Wahine continue play at home on Sunday against UC Riverside.
