Waipahu man charged with allegedly abusing woman
A 79-year-old Waipahu man has been charged with abusing and kidnapping a 78-year-old woman on Monday in Waipahu.
Numeriano Diwa remained in police custody Saturday unable to post $15,000 bail.
Police said Diwa was arguing with the woman when he choked her and stopped her from leaving a home between 1 and 4 a.m. Monday.
Police found Diwa about 8:20 p.m. Thursday in Ewa Beach.
