» Hawaii’s 1st U.S. Congressional District covers urban Honolulu and does not include voters living in state House Districts 44 (Waianae-Makaha-Makua) and 47 through 51 in Windward Oahu. A Thursday Page A6 map accompanying the vote breakdown for the Mark Takai-Charles Djou race showed Takai winning in those areas.
» Maui County voters Tuesday approved the ballot initiative banning genetically modified organism crops until environmental and health studies are conducted. A Page A7 headline in Wednesday’s early edition referred to the measure’s "loss." The early-edition story was written based on preliminary results when the measure was behind in the voting.
» Two appeals filed separately by Kauai County and four nonprofit organizations are challenging U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry Kurren’s decision on Kauai’s Ordinance 960. A B3 story Thursday and a Page B3 story Tuesday reported one appeal was filed by the county and the nonprofit groups. Also, Ka Makani Ho‘opono is one of those four nonprofit groups. The Tuesday story misspelled the group’s name.
