Prosecutors have charged a 36-year-old Pearl City man with assault of a 36-year-old woman at his home last week.
Tilan Debrum was arrested Thursday morning after he allegedly tried to injure the woman with a dangerous instrument.
A 53-year-old woman tried to intervene, and the suspect then allegedly threatened her with the same dangerous instrument, police said.
Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder of two women at his home and first-degree terroristic threatening. The charges were reduced to second-degree assault and second-degree terroristic threatening. His bail was at $50,000.
