Crews extinguish small fire at Waipahu business
Firefighters extinguished a small fire Wednesday at Waipahu Festival Marketplace.
Honolulu fire Capt. David Jenkins said about 36 firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire at 4:14 p.m. and found smoke coming from a business on the property.
Firefighters forced their way in and extinguished the fire by 4:32 p.m.
No one was hurt, and the business appeared closed for the holiday, Jenkins said.
Firefighters estimated damage at $5,000, but the cause remained under investigation.
