Molokai man allegedly rams ex-girlfriend’s car from behind

Molokai police have opened up multiple criminal cases against a 38-year-old Kaunakakai man for allegedly crashing into the back of his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle while she was driving.

Police said he was speeding when he slammed into the woman’s car as she was driving west on Kamehameha V Highway.

The girlfriend, a 35-year-old Kaunakakai woman, was treated and later released for minor injuries.

Police said the woman could see her ex-boyfriend’s vehicle approaching her vehicle at a high rate of speed.

The man was flown to Oahu for further treatment for non-life-threatening injuries from the crash.

Police have opened up the following cases against him: Two counts of first-degree criminal property damage, one count of first-degree terroristic threatening, one count of reckless driving and two counts of violation of a protective order.
