Big Island police arrested four suspects in connection with a fatal stabbing in Hilo on Tuesday. Detectives arrested the two men and two women Thursday afternoon and evening at their Honomu home on suspicion of second-degree murder.

The suspects, two men ages 21 and 21, and two women, ages 22 and 28, remain in custody at the Hilo Police station while detectives continue the investigation into the death of Brian Whetten, 43.

Whetten, who was homeless, was found Tuesday with stab wounds in a drug store parking lot off K?lauea Avenue. He died at Hilo Medical Center.
