LAS VEGAS » Welterweight Kelvin Gastelum and flyweight John Lineker have badly missed weight for their bouts at UFC 183 on Saturday night.

After negotiations, the UFC announced Friday that their fights will go on anyway at the MGM Grand Garden.

Gastelum and Lineker both were fined 30 percent of their purses. The money goes to their opponents.

Gastelum has been considered a promising welterweight, but he stepped on the scales at a whopping 180 pounds for his bout against Tyron Woodley. That’s nine more than the 170-pound class limit and the 1-pound margin of error.

Woodley was furious, but agreed to fight anyway in the co-main event.

Lineker weighed in at 130 pounds for his 126-pound bout against Ian McCall. Lineker has missed the flyweight limit four times in his UFC career.
