[ AD HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THIS STORY ]

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and Lanai from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.

The approaching front is expected to produce increasing southwest winds Monday. Periods of wind gusts up to 50 mph can be expected over the northeast terrain of smaller islands through Monday afternoon and possibly Monday evening for Maui County.

Southwest winds are expected to be between 15 to 30 mph, but localized gusts can reach to more than 50 mph. Winds this strong can bring down tree branches and make driving difficult. Motorists should use extra caution.
