Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota ran the 40-yard dash in an unofficial time of 4.52, fastest among the quarterbacks at the NFL Combine on Saturday in Indianapolis.
The Oregon signal-caller from Saint Louis School ran his second 40 in 4.56. Each combine participant is given two attempts at running the 40. Mariota, who measured at 6 feet 4 and 222 pounds, also had a vertical jump of 36 inches.
Jameis Winton, the 2013 Heisman Trophy winner from Florida State, had 40 times of 4.97 and 4.99.
